You can select an individual post by scrolling to it, or by clicking on it in one of the widgets (eg “Posts” or “Archives”) from the menu panel on the right of your browser window.
There are several ways to comment, or to link to a post. The first thing to do is to find the comment subsystem. To do this, click the comments link at the bottom of the post. Each post has an individual frame, and you’ll see this link inside the windowframe at the bottom of the window.
You’ll also see E-mail (emails a link to the post, to someone you select) and Permalink (provides an intuitively named URL that addresses the post). After clicking the comments link, a new set of windows will be displayed after the bottom of the post. The other posts will not be visible.
1. Text entry – You can type in a text comment, and it will be displayed in the comments panel on the right. I’ve started the blog with automatic approval enabled, so you’ll see your comment immediately. I may enable moderation after a while, which will delay the visibility of your comment a little.
2. RSS subscription – there’s a button to link your blog to this site.
3. Trackbacks – There’s a Trackback URI button.
Initially, I’ve disabled the requirement to register and log in, so comments are completely open. If I have problems with spam, then I’ll enable the registration requirement. There’s a login link, in the Meta panel to the right, that brings up a login window. The login window has a registration link.
If you register, there’s a profile you can fill out, if you want.
