It’s About Systems

The discussions in these postings are focused on “complex systems” products, because that’s what I know best. If your gadget is not a complex system, then some of this material will not show the best perspective for you.

Your product is probably not a “complex” system, in the practical sense that I mean, if it doesn’t have control intelligence, or if it has only a small number functions (like, “On”, Off”, “Go Ahead And Cut, Doc”), or is primarily chemical. Not that these kinds of products are not hard as the devil to invent and prove, but some of the remarks I’ll make in these posts won’t be a perfect fit. Other material will apply perfectly.
